April has been practicing massage therapy for nearly 20 years. She attained her massage degree from Trocair College in 2002. April also received certifications in Traditional Thai Massage (2002) and table Thai (2007). She specialized in deep tissue/sports massage and became employed by the Buffalo Bills as one of their massage therapists from 2014-2017. She’s participated as a massage therapist in Jim Kelly’s annual golf tournament yearly for 10+ years.
She lived and was a therapist at local spas in Ithaca, NY, for 5-years and a massage therapist for the NY Jets when they did their summer camps in Cortland.
She loves yoga almost as much as she loves practicing massages. She’s taught power yoga at the YMCA in Orchard Park and a few other places. April has trained Power Yoga under Baron Baptiste at the Omega Institute in Reinback, NY. She believes the mind and body connection is essential and that many illnesses and diseases come from an energy imbalance and then manifest in the body.
This is one of the reasons she loves her job. She truly wishes to help alleviate her client’s physical and mental stresses and allow them to be as pain and stress-free as possible.
April tries to incorporate Eastern and Western therapies into her massage and focuses on the cause of her client’s issues to help them find balance.
She believes massage is maintenance, not pampering, and aims to offer a truly holistic and therapeutic approach to her massages
“Balance is the key to everything. What we do, think, say, eat, feel, they all require awareness and through this awareness we can grow.”
